The History Museum

Hello everyone! Welcome back! I had a few good ideas for the first creative crafting prompt of the year (yay!) but I liked one the best... let's start, shall we? Today Miranda Maple (the older sister I'm using as a grandmother) is visiting the Maple Cats at their house. She has a very special event planned with Millie. Georgina greets her mother with a smile. "Hello, Mum. I'm so happy you decided to take Millie with you to the History Museum's grand opening," she says. "I hope it's not too much work for you." "Oh, it's nothing; I'm glad to take Millie for a little Grandma and granddaughter day together. Our last one was too long ago for me to remember." "Alright then, do you want me to pack a snack bag or, maybe serve you a tea?" "Sure, that sounds nice." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ...

A New Year in the Making...

Hi everyone! Welcome back--it's officially 2020!!! Whoo-hoo! I still can't believe it! Today we will see what the Maple's are up to this January. Come, let's go watch... Theodore woke baby Daisy up gently this morning. "Come on, Daisy, it's time to celebrate the new year!" Daisy cocked her head at him. "Noo yeew?" she asked. "Come, let's get dressed and Mommy and I will show you what the New Year is about," Daisy was too young to be able to remember what her first had been like. She was excited to find out. Millie didn't need to be woken up. She was already awake a long time ago, bouncing and shouting "It's 2020!! It's the New Year!! Yay!!!!!" The Maple's had a lovely Christmas. They'd like to show you some pictures of under the tree... before the kids tore open the wrapping. Everyone loved their gifts. Today, everyone enjoys a hearty breakfast... and Millie heads...

A Christmas Baby

Hi everyone! Merry Christmas! I have so many-- too many things to write about... the new Sylvanians and accessories I got for the holidays, how I received Nina's parcel she sent to me on the 23rd with plenty of lovely things inside, and how great the Maple Cat's house looks like when decorated for Christmas. I've decided to spread things out. I'll show all of my presents on the forum! I'll write Nina an email about her parcel and take/share pictures of that, too! I'll do a separate post for the Maple cat's house during the holidays! I wanted to write about something other than the Maple Cat's this time, though, so I chose the Periwinkles, who have been long awaiting the arrival of their new baby, and it just might arrive on Christmas day! It was Christmas evening at the Periwinkle house. Kate and Robert were standing on the balcony, admiring their lovely yard, snowy and white. "Merry Christmas, darling," said Robert tenderly....

A Christmas Prelude

Hello again, fellow collectors/photographers/bloggers! Since the move is getting back to normal and we have now partially settled in, let the posts begin! But first, I would like to say a few things: I've been pretty late on the Creative Crafting challenges, missing two in a row. The first one I missed was the Gratitude challenge, due to the business of preparations for the move and packing and unpacking my things. The second one I missed--the Christmas Lists one--because I posted a different topic on my blog instead: renovations in the Maple Cat's house. So... here's something to get us into the Christmas spirit and focus a bit first on the renovations. Here goes!! Oh yes, and one last thing before we start: Thank you, everyone, for your support about my blog, your lovely comments and the encouraging things you say! With this blog and this community, not only do I have an audience but also friends--from all over the world. So thank you. You, my parents, my sister...

Renovations in the Maple's House... PART 1!

Image
Hi everyone! I was hoping to do a post based on the Creative Crafting Challenge - Christmas Lists, but something else has been on my mind, and that is re-decorating the Maple Cat's house, and turning it into more of home. If you are wondering why, it's because I have moved into a new home, and all the furniture has been taken out and carefully arranged into bags. Now I can finally take it out and play with it again, much to my delight! Setting up new scenes is fun, ya' know! ......................................... Hope you enjoy! ......................................... Millie is quietly enjoying herself at the table, cutting up old scraps of newspaper and drawing on them, making pretty floral designs like the plants in her mother's workplace. But, nothing around Millie is as silent and peaceful as herself... "Heave ho!" The workers' joke. They are being especially kind today, not only doing reno's later but also helping to move fu...
