Huckleberry Springs returns!

Hi everyone! I'm excited to announce that as of Christmas 2023, my blogging journey continues, this time under the blog name Huckleberry Springs. I've been thinking about returning to the collectors community for a long time now, but it's been an on again off again sort of thing for me. I'm 14 now, and my family and I have been happily settled into our new home for over a year now, the pandemic has really calmed down and everything stressful in my life and probably many other's lives as well circa 2020/2021 has ended. It was about a month ago that I started really getting back into Sylvanians. I still have my entire collection, and my little sister, who is now 6 years old since August, has been beginning to collect as well. Sylvanians are her favourite toys, and we come up with many fun stories and scenes together--with all our pieces combined, it's impossible to run out of ideas. I'll admit that my sister is probably the one person that keeps me interested

Little Acorn Nursery

Hi again! First of all, I would like to wish everyone reading this a very Happy New Year! I hope that yours was wonderful and that everything in 2022 happens in your favor. I personally had a quiet but peaceful New Year with my close family (my parents and sister). The first Creative Challenge of this year is New Beginnings, and that is actually quite relevant in my real life; for a little while now my family and I have been thinking of moving; we have been living in my grandmother's house since she passed away two years ago trying to settle in and settle down. Two years have gone by and we're ready to let go. The house is a little small and just doesn't feel like ours so moving is in our best interests. I started working on my New Beginnings project on January second and third, and was finished by the fourth. Unfortunately my talent for procrastination has lead me to near the end of the month and so, having most of the pictures ready, I decided it's now or never and wr

A Very Merry Christmas

Hi again... it's been FOREVER since I have last posted a story, but those of you who know me from the collector's forum also know that I was thinking of getting back into blogging eventually. Soooooo without further ado I will now present a short Christmas themed story for the Winter Celebrations creative challenge... with pictures, of course. It was a lonely Christmas morning for Felicia Tuxedo. She had been so busy this year with her photography career, multiple photo exhibitions and moving into her own apartment that her Christmas tree didn't dawn a single decoration. Gazing out the window she saw slushy city streets and barely any snow. Was it just her, or were the Christmas lights a little dimmer this year? She decided it was best to relax and sat down. But her thoughts kept wandering to her family and friends back in the countryside. And suddenly, as if by miracle, there was a knock on the door and her mother Natalie appeared holding a shiny present and in her best c

Art School

Hi readers! This post is probably one of my happiest because I was well enough (being sick for the last few days) to actually participate in Challenge #4... Art and Artists. I don't know who to thank for this amazing luck, but other than a few coughs and a bit of a sore throat, I'm feeling really good! I had the ideas and I knew they wouldn't be too hard. Let's begin, anyways. On with things!!! **drumroll Cecilia Teak is a well-known songwriter so it all surprised us when the busy, well to do celebrity star decided to open an art school for toddlers and young children. The Art School, Budlings, was (in real life inspired by the wallpaper I used to liven up my diorama, hehe) created in November 2019 and is growing very popular among the residents of Huckleberry Springs. Each child is coming home with splendid results and an increase in talent. They all say they are having a lot of fun. Millie is, unfortunately, too old for the programme but as soon as Daisy

Sweet Memories

"Theodore, do you remember when we met?" "Of course I do, Georgina. It was hilarious!" "We were two young punk rockers..." "Even though our parents weren't so sure!" "Haha, yeah." "I remember when Bruce asked me to meet you." "Yes, definitely." "And you liked my orange mohawk, didn't you?" "Well, it was rather cute." "Kind of, and your blue hair was a riot!" "Hey!" "Just joking. I mean in a good way." "We started dating but you refused to eat any fast food past seven." "Well, it's not like it's good for you or anything!" "I know, but it was a date! And it was funny because it was like you hadn't heard the word before." "I'd heard it before! But, yeah... I was a little out-of-the-ordinary, wasn't I?" *pause* "Yum! This food is really good... it reminds me o

Interior Design... or Disaster?

Hello everyone! Here is my entry for the Creative Crafting Challenge #2! Interior Design. Hope you enjoy! _________________________________________________________________________________ Camryn Caramel still visits Millie regularly, as the two are very good friends. A few visits ago, the Maples found out that Camryn's mother is an interior designer! Soon, Carla Caramel was moving things around; the Maples were wondering if they should do anything about their living room and the space they weren't using where the Christmas Tree was. Carla said that they should switch some things up. Now the living room looks much better, don't you think :) The couch, a picture of some flowers hanging on the wall, the coffee table, and an empty bookcase ready to be filled. And last but not least, the phone table. The Maples were so happy to see there living room's final new look. "But what will we do with the empty room that used to be the living
