A Christmas Baby

Image
Hi everyone! Merry Christmas! I have so many-- too many things to write about... the new Sylvanians and accessories I got for the holidays, how I received Nina's parcel she sent to me on the 23rd with plenty of lovely things inside, and how great the Maple Cat's house looks like when decorated for Christmas. I've decided to spread things out. I'll show all of my presents on the forum! I'll write Nina an email about her parcel and take/share pictures of that, too! I'll do a separate post for the Maple cat's house during the holidays! I wanted to write about something other than the Maple Cat's this time, though, so I chose the Periwinkles, who have been long awaiting the arrival of their new baby, and it just might arrive on Christmas day! It was Christmas evening at the Periwinkle house. Kate and Robert were standing on the balcony, admiring their lovely yard, snowy and white. "Merry Christmas, darling," said Robert tenderly.

A Christmas Prelude

Hello again, fellow collectors/photographers/bloggers! Since the move is getting back to normal and we have now partially settled in, let the posts begin! But first, I would like to say a few things: I've been pretty late on the Creative Crafting challenges, missing two in a row. The first one I missed was the Gratitude challenge, due to the business of preparations for the move and packing and unpacking my things. The second one I missed--the Christmas Lists one--because I posted a different topic on my blog instead: renovations in the Maple Cat's house. So... here's something to get us into the Christmas spirit and focus a bit first on the renovations. Here goes!! Oh yes, and one last thing before we start: Thank you, everyone, for your support about my blog, your lovely comments and the encouraging things you say! With this blog and this community, not only do I have an audience but also friends--from all over the world. So thank you. You, my parents, my sister

Renovations in the Maple's House... PART 1!

Image
Hi everyone! I was hoping to do a post based on the Creative Crafting Challenge - Christmas Lists, but something else has been on my mind, and that is re-decorating the Maple Cat's house, and turning it into more of home. If you are wondering why, it's because I have moved into a new home, and all the furniture has been taken out and carefully arranged into bags. Now I can finally take it out and play with it again, much to my delight! Setting up new scenes is fun, ya' know! ......................................... Hope you enjoy! ......................................... Millie is quietly enjoying herself at the table, cutting up old scraps of newspaper and drawing on them, making pretty floral designs like the plants in her mother's workplace. But, nothing around Millie is as silent and peaceful as herself... "Heave ho!" The workers' joke. They are being especially kind today, not only doing reno's later but also helping to move fu

Updates: November

Hi everyone! So, maybe you have noticed that I'm not on the forum that much these days or I'm not as quick to post for the Creative Crafting Challenges anymore, but don't worry. I still love all of my Sylvanians and am so excited to be able to start again. Why? Because my family and I are moving!!!! I'm really excited, and although I will miss my friends, here are the good things about moving to this new house: It's way closer to the rest of our family. It has a backyard and a basement. It has a pool. There are plenty of fun places to visit nearby: a zoo, a bowling alley, a water park, etc. It's actually my grandmother's old house, since she sadly passed away a few months ago, and my mom and her sisters were wondering what to do with the house and if they should just sell it, but finally we agreed we would buy the house, and so now it's going to be ours on November 15th! ( I'm not bragging, just very excited, so I hope I don't sound b

A Fun Halloween Party!!

Image
Hi every one! This is my Halloween story for the Creative Crafting Challenge, "Costumes and Fancy Dress". Although writing a very long story was just too much after a quite tiring night of trick-or-treating in the real world, (hehe) this story--short and sweet--will only have pictures with captions under. Hope you like it! Emilie _____________________________________________________________________________ Georgina greeting a friendly neighbour at the door. "Trick-Or-Treat!" Silly little Daisy dressed up as flower (like her name, and this one looks a bit like the colour of a Gerbera Daisy!) She gets to stay up late because of curiosity for Halloween. Oh dear! What a big mess Daisy has made! On the other side of town, Millie (dressed up as a pirate!) and Theodore are enjoyed collecting candy from friendly neighbours. "Trick-Or-Treat!" says Millie. "Here you go, Dearie. A little lollipop for you! Have a happy Hallowe

The Periwinkle Family

Image
Hi, all! Today I am going to tell you a bit about this family, the Periwinkles. Now, there not like Jemima's family (from at the periwinkles, Nina's blog) . They are mine and I've had them for quite a bit now, and decided it would be nice for you to meet them! Also, I hope you like my new blog layout. I find it looks much less cluttered. I really enjoyed changing it around, and so I hope you are not too surprised. One last thing: If you want mini printables that I made (on the computer) for your Sylvanian Families, make sure you check out the new forum topic: Homemade Sylvanian Printables. Hope you like them! Now, let's begin... My Periwinkle family currently consists of: Kate , wife of Robert and sister-in-law to Alex Robert , younger brother of Alex and husband of Kate Alex , older brother of Robert and brother-in-law to Kate Kate (45)  is a well taught nurse and the wife of Robert. She is an expert at making people smile, especially children and babies. S
